The IPRS Health Physiotherapy Telephone Assessment service is undertaken by employed Chartered Physiotherapists known as Clinical Case Managers. The telephone assessment is conducted to provide immediate reassurance to the patient by providing them with an initial understanding of their condition and to supply a first response / “first aid” to them.
Conducting a telephone assessment upon referral allows us to explore all treatment options for patients, including Virtual Physiotherapy.
At the point of referral patient's can book a time slot that suits them to undergo their assessment. The assessment which lasts around 30 minutes cover the patient's injury, their medical history and their beliefs and expectation to help mutually agree on the best treatment for them. The call can be completed through a telephone or video call.
Upon completion of the assessment the IPRS Health Physiotherapist creates a clinical treatment plan for the patient and establishes a timeframe for recovery. The patient will then either begin a course of Virtual Physiotherapy or be referred to a practice for Face to Face Physiotherapy.
